Weekly Tips

Ground Balls

Top hand is all the way at the top of the shaft, the back hand is all the way at the bottom.  The player wants to get both hands low to the ground and scoop through fast.

Cradling

Bottom hand stays stationary about 10 inches from the players’ belly button.  Top hand is about ⅓ the way down the stick (there’s often a logo there).  Using the top hand and wrist, the player does a wrapping motion from their shoulder to 6 inches in front of their nose, and back.  It’s a continuous motion.
